Jeff Moss' Princeton Connection

The song, "I Don't Want to Live on the Moon" was written by the late Jeff Moss, former Sesame co-creator and head writer.

He graduated from Princeton in the class of 1963, and was an active trustee of the Princeton Triangle Club theatrical group until his untimely death from colon cancer in 1998. Hence, the tribute to this fellow Princetonian by one of Princeton's acapella groups, the Nassoons.

Also, my sister has a cassette tape of "Elmopalooza" which has Ernie singing the song with Gloria Estefan. Just thought I'd bring that up.

That's the Shawn Colvin version. Estefan sings "Mambo I, I, I"

I'll have to listen to that again. I thought it was a girl singing with Ernie. I'm pretty sure it was when I've seen the show. Now, I'm confused.

There are 2 duets (that I know of). One w/Shawn Colvin (female) and one w/Aaron Neville (African American male w/very high voice)

Hope that clears things up!

Great, but again, who is the duet *with*? Ernie? If so, is it Jim or Steve?

Rats. That dang 120 seconds rule deleted my post.

Now what did I mean to say before? Oh, yeah. I see so Shawn Colvin's a girl with a guy's name. Is she related to Alice Cooper?

Lol :halo:

To go ack to the begin question

I think your friend isn´t a huge muppet fan, but likes it anyway.. Couldn´t it be possible she doesn´t know Jim Henson does both voices, so she hears :stick_out_tongue: , but think its  ?
I think if you explain that she is right but not with character. In a way your both right?
