i was wondering, who played sam in muppet treasure island? the credits say Oz did, but bryan henson said is was kevin clash, can someone clear this up?
Kevin Clash performed the puppet on set, voice and manipulation included. Kevin had a tape recording of Frank's performance from a read-through as a performance guide. Frank Oz later dubbed over Kevin's vocals.
Turlem. Kevin doesn't have a British accent. I think you are confused.

i didn't mean to say it the way i did, i know he isn't british, in the commentary, henson mentioned that in one scene his fake accent was stronger than another scene. and is clash Sam's regular preformer and voice guy now that Oz isn't around as much?
Oh, and how come clash's signature character(clifford) wasn't in the nbc movie?
Kevin Clash was busy filming Sesame Street (I guess he plays some unimportant red furball on that show) and could not preform any muppets in the movie. He did dub the voice for Sam because he loved performng him in MTI, even though I think it is one of the worst replacements in terms of voice.
