As late as Season 32, they would air reruns using a current episode number and copyright date. The reruns were always from 2 seasons earlier, and there was about 20 of them per season. All the street scenes would be the same, but they would have different muppet clips, animations, etc.

I know that episodes were rerun in later seasons with different episode numbers and sometimes different sketches since the 1980s. I wonder if it ever happened during the 1970s. Oddly enough, the hurricane episodes have been repeated with the original episode numbers, but with a handful of sketches replaced.

I think it was around 1986 or so. SHe went to a comedy show I think.
