The disappointing "Wah-waaaahhhhh" of a trumpet when something bad happens to someone in a cartoon or old comedy.

Actually my favourite sound effect moment is because of the lack of it. In 'the fraggles look for new jobs' Wembley bangs into a lampost and is amazed that there is no 'bonk' sound. By the by, the 'bonk' sound is my favourite too.

I like that weird, low foghorn kind of soud. They used it in Carmen Sandiego all the time but I can't think of what else it's in. It's kind of a weee-OOOOOONHHH.
The oonh being a really low note and the wee a perfect fifth above it.

What makes me confused is on Sesame Street when Baby Bear or Telly or any other monster is walking/running down the street there is a sound effect that sounds like the clicking of someones dress shoes on the ground. Why!? They don't even wear shoes. They have soft furry feet. What's with the clicking?

Edit: bad punctuation.
