Barkley is prominently featured on the cover of the "Being Brave" Sesame Street DVD- you might like to check that one out too.
Funny that he was originally Linda's dog- but I can see her leaving him with Bob when she left Sesame Street- maybe she just couldn't have a dog at her new place. (I don't guess Linda was given any explanation as to why her character doesn't appear anymore. Of course, I think that's probably true for most of the human characters other than David and Mr. Hooper of course.)
