I'm trying to think...we may have had a harmonica player in one of the groups...like I said, I was in with mostly cover bands, which was cool in a way, because I was introduced to music I had never heard before (hey, we even covered some Sex Pistols tunes!) I even talked one of the groups into doing a few Gram Parsons songs ("Hot Burrito #1" and "1000 Wedding" were two of my suggestions that were incorporated into the set).

Those were fun times. We played at school dances, on the town green in the summer (summers were fun, 'cause we had lots of outdoor events), parties, etc.

Do you like Paul Butterfield? He was a great harp player, and his blues band helped usher in the "modern" blues era in the 1960s, followed by acts such as Cream.

His first two albums, with his original lineup, "Paul Butterfield Blues Band" and "East-West" are essential.

Hey, are/were you guys in bands? That is SO cool!
Yep, Anytimepally and I were in bands.

He played bass and harmonica, and I played bass and drums. Check out our above posts.

As I say, I was in five bands throughout high school, one that only lasted about a month. Four of the five bands were mostly cover bands, but one of them was made up of almost all originals.

Those were good times:crazy:

I do!.. I own "East-West" and "The Resurrection of Pigboy Crabshaw" but not "Paul Butterfield Blues Band".. I may check that out.. I haven't gotten any new non-muppet music for my collection in a while

Yes! "Pigboy Crabshaw" is an excellent album, too. Check out their debut sometime. There's a lot of really great tunes on it, such as "Born in Chicago," "Shake Your Money-Maker" and "Mystery Train."

But "East-West" is probably my favorite. "Walkin' Blues," "Get Out of My Life Woman," "East-West," and Michael Nesmith's "Mary Mary," before the Monkees recorded it.

I've seen a few, but there's only one that matters: Bernadette Peters.

I adore her voice! I really love her in The Jerk & Annie. Now, wasn't she in the Animaniacs? The dog & cat duo.... the names escape me.

That's them! Thanks! I just watched Wakko's Wish, but the names would come.
... With her voice she'd be perfect for reading bedtime stories. I would so purchase them if she did. ...*Suggle in with my sweet baby & listen to Little Red Ridding Hood...* Ahhh, delightful.
