Apparently Shout! Factory has released the complete series of D.C. FOLLIES on DVD. Never even knew that.

Apparently Sid & Marty Krofft received a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Emmy's this year.
Yup, watched the whole show last night, 5pm to 11pm!

Here's the Kroffts at the Red Carpet: (50:43)

And here's their segment at the actual awards: (3:03:04):

Holy crap! Marty's got such a young girlfriend! And his wife just died a few years ago . . . why do I smell a deja vu of Tony Randall? :stick_out_tongue:

So, apparently, the Kroffts have another unsold pilot that is essentially rehashing D.C. FOLLIES as a spoof of late night cable news network talk shows:

In terms of episode count, MUTT & STUFF is now the Kroffts' longest-running show with over 70 episodes.

Really? I would've thought HR had more episodes. But i'm sort of surprised Mutt & Stuff has been as successful as it is, with it not being a cartoon, and all. But I guess Nick Jr. has had their one or two odd popular live action shows thrown in at different times. For a while it was Yo Gabba Gabba, and then it was Fresh Beat Band.

Nope! H.R. PUFNSTUF only had 17 episodes. Come to think of it, with the exception of SIGMUND AND THE SEA MONSTERS and LAND OF THE LOST, just about all of their old shows only had 17 episodes.

Seems like an unusually specific number. Why not the more conventional 13 or 20?

Apparently that was the standard for a Saturday Morning show back in those days. I mean, if you look at some of Hanna-Barbera's shows from that time, I think many of them had that same number of episodes per season as well.

Then again, back then, primetime shows seem to fluxuate their number of episodes per season from like 26, 30, 32, 36, 38; I don't think 22/24 became standard till the early 70s.
