Took the words right out of my mouth...fantastic special!
I loved the villain, IronTail...my dad used to tell us if we misbehaved as kids that IronTail would come see us. I think he just did it to be funny...we still laugh about it to this day.
Irontail was very interesting. How something innocent and adorable like a rabbit could be turned into a dark villain.

Also, I thought it was neat how they got Muppet show guest stars, Danny Kaye and Vincent Price, to be voices. And Casey Kasem's performance as Peter was great. I remember when I first heard Peter's voice, I thought, "That's Shaggy!"

There was one I used to watch a lot when I was little, but I no longer remember much of it except that it was a claymation. Pity.
this is my favorite also.. claymation is the absolute height of animation! :batty: .. and I pretty much love everything Will Vinton ever did.. I have this special on DVD, along with his Christmas and Halloween specials

They do seem to be phasing out the older holiday specials, perhaps because of this odd idea that people don't like older shows (which I don't find to be true at all). What's worse is that they're barely trying to replace them with anything.

The South Park "Hare club for men" episode. Nuff said. Hillarious send up of "The DaVinci Code" and the Catholic Church. And while I doubt it's appropriate to tell how it really ends here, let's just say there's an unforgettible sequence with Jesus and Kyle.

I also love "Fat Albert's Easter Special." In this one, the junkyard Gang want to surprise their elderly friend Mudfoot Brown by cleaning out his house. Rudy pulls a prank that backfires, severly injuring and almost killing Mudfoot. It's a real tear jerker (especially the hospital scene where Mudfoot loses the will to live while being hooked up to life support), but it ends up quite happily. And it also is the only Fat Albert special to feature a Brown Hornet cartoon, the most important part.

I know it's not a cartoon (and not necessarily Easter-related for that matter), but I love Henson's own "Tale of the Bunny Picnic". I may be turning twenty, but dagnabit, I love me seome Bunny Picnic!:insatiable:

Boy, I don't remember that many Easter cartoons sadly. I do remember It's the Easter Beagle Charlie Brown, and I also remember one that was an animated Family Circus Easter cartoon. That's about it though unfortunately!
