I'm not quite sure myself, but I believe it was something started by Fozzie. You can check the Muppet Show episode guide under "Season 1." I'm not sure which episode it was, but there should be a description of that somewhere. There's also a transcript of parts of that episode in "The Muppet Show Book." Hope this helps.
