Haha! I know how THAT is too! One time I was bidding on a Super Grover figure that I found out was ending WHILE I was in school. I tried to get eBay to send me a text message if I got outbid... and they did, but I wasn't able to get to a computer during class.

My advice... run fast once you get off the bus!

You know... That happened to me too with a Palisades Holiday Kermit I was bidding on. What I did was decide to play hardball with the jerkface snipers. What I did was even though I had the high bid of $50 at the time, I placed a much higher max bid. That way, I'd have my winning bid raised if anyone tried to come and snipe the item away. Ended up winning the figure at a price of $97. Hope this helps.

Threads like this always make me glad I got started with this line fairly early on (Series 4 was when I really started). I remember I wasn't originally going to get involved ('cause this was back when I was still in high school and didn't have a job, etc. etc.) but I did buy Series 2 Gonzo 'cause he's my favorite character. Then I bought Series 4 Sam Arrow because Muppet Treasure Island is my favorite Muppet movie and I loved Sam in that movie. It was one fateful day when I was admiring Sam through the packaging when I decided to open it. I was lucky, I was able to get most of the Series 1-3 figures (except for Floyd, Fozzie, Zoot, and Animal with the Electric Mayhem Stage). So I didn't miss a beat when it came to the other series when they were released.

I also made sure to get all the really good exclusives as they came out (ESPECIALLY Jim Henson and Super Grover!)
