Looking back, I could definitely say Elmo's world may have intended to be a one-season skit idea, but the popularity of it went to Sesame Workshop's mentality and they milked the skits and his character to death.

It's one of the things I'm not forgiving about with the company.
Elmo's World should've ended back in 2003. By 2004 and onwards his character and the skits have gotten to be ludicrous.

But keep in mind Elmo has been a cashcow before EW came in the picture. Does Tickle me Elmo ring a bell anyone? It was the most popular toy in America... :smirk:

Okay, well, that was just one instance. A toy being popular doesn't automatically have to make a character a cash cow.

My guilty pleasure might be Muppet Treasure Island, because I can tell it's not very good compared to some of the other movies, but at the same time I like it probably more than I should. (When will we see Big Fat Ugly Bug-Faced Baby Eating O'Brien again?) Ditto for Muppets from Space, though that one's definitely better than Treasure Island.
