I was wiped out from Dec. 6 (when I had the surgery) till the day before Christmas. I'm really glad I was able to eat the goodies my Mom made

Anyway, allocate yourself a full week to recoop on a couch or bed or whatever, and be sure you have plenty of stuff to watch.
Sounds like I'll be missing some school.

wisdom teeth.... and bad years....

don't worry too much about it.. i didn't have any problems at all after I had mne cut out... didn't have problems after i had a root canal 2 years ago either...
as for bad luck in a year... last year was THE most stressful of my life. Those little stress indicator charts would probablly have figured I'd have killed over by now... I got married, made a major move from utah to alaska (in the middle of winter, no less which really screwed with my seasonal depression). I had three major deaths in my family (both grandfathers and my dad), suddenly had 4 step children, including 2 teenagers. my step son ran away to live with his mom. then we got the 2 youngest girls for the summer. I came down with strep throat the same time my new mother in law game to visit for a week. and I've been unemployed for a year. and that's just the big stuff i can remember off the top of my head... BUT, all in all.. it was also probablly the best year of my life, so, just becasue "bad" things happen, doesn't mean it will be a bad year..
Heck, this one isn't starting out so great either.. as tonight we go to pick up my step son at the air port cuz his mom is throwing him out again for causing too much trouble... *sigh* but i'm determined it's going to be a great year.

Wow, this is making me really dread next month.
It's not that bad for everyone! I didn't have any problems when I had my teeth taken out- for the first few days I was eating soft food, but after that I was fine!

Welcome to the club, Beth. I hope ya don't get a dry socket like I did -- it was a PAIN!

Anyway, yea, I hope this is the only bad thing that happens this year ::sigh::
Thanks! They finally feel much better today, the dentist said they are doing great.

Ugh. I thought last year was bad, and that didn't start until June. It's only January 8th and on my way to class this morning I got in a car accident, and even though it was because of the driver in front of me I get stuck w/ the blasted 4-point ticket and have to go to court as if I'm some kind of criminal. And if you know me, you know I'm the total opposite. I don't even go over the speed limit -- ever.

Gosh this is bad.

I can't wait to see what's in store for the rest of the day/year... ...

Please, comfort me here... :embarrassed:

:frown:  :frown:
I didn't know about this, sorry that happened. What is the dreaded 4-point ticket thing???

Mine went smoothly as well. Lots of ice packs to stop the swelling before it starts, and plenty of milkshakes!

Anyway, thought I'd bring this thread back so I could rant a little bit more to relax. Maybe this should become everyone's post-failure or bad day cooldown thread?

I just found out I failed my psychology midterm that I had studied very hard for for an entire week. Spent several hours a day studying, and I knew the material, too. I just don't get it. Ugh. This entire semester is going to drive me crazy before I know it. Project after project after project. Ugh. Ugh. Ugh.

Anyway, thanks for letting me rant a little, I feel a bit better. Not really. :frown:

It really doesn't seem like I'm getting $1,000 worth of knowledge per week. College is kind of like... a scam. :frown:

Anyway, as usual, off I go to fight the grade.
