Maybe someone went through his trash? Or someone's trash? Even if shredded, remember Penguin's wise words ... "a little tape, and a lot of patience...."

Betcha Philo and Gunge did it.

I knew I smelled a rat *hee* :3
But now that I think about it, it did read like a half finished draft story with no sub-plots ...

If the script had not been shown to anyone (outside the production/movie people etc), how could this have happened?
No one knows... that's why Cory's upset about it. According to his blog, he didn't even show it to his friends or family yet.

Wow, that IS strange :O It might make it easier to narrow down the suspects, though.

This is not that unusual from what I've read. Star Trek movie scripts used to get leaked to the public and this was before the Internet!

The rough draft leak likely came from a secondary source though Henson. I'm sure future drafts will be better guarded. Either way, the Tough Pigs article was a good thing that generated interest. Cory Edwards reports that he would like to keep an actual production diary with video clips along with the current blog once production begins. That would be fantastic. :excited:

This year or 2011?

I heard the fraggle flick was supposed to be out this year but...it doesn't seem that way. I just now saw that it may be 2011. I s'pose this is all speculation though? :smirk:

Oh no... that was decided a while ago. The movie was originally to be released in 2009, and we were supposed to have a preview of the movie on the third box set.... but that was if the movie didn't hit so many writing blocks. The treatment was written about 2007 or so, and the Henson company got wind of it a little later. They didn't have any financial backers, either. Plus, we needed someone to come in and write the screenplay based off the treatment. The script is only a little closer to the final draft, and even then we have that long period of pre-preproduction before the film gets filmed. I'd say 2011 is a good estimate of when the movie should come out.

After all, this isn't one of those annual "Parody" movies that they keep slapping together after seeing movie trailers, so they can get them out while the jokes are "current." God, I hate those....

Ah. I just saw Cory What'shisname's blog a little while ago about the script-leak and how he's not crazy about the die-hard fans and fun stuff like that. Well, I guess we should just hope for the best & stuff. I guess I'm a little surprised that news about the movie isn't mentioned much on this site. I guess it has to be super-d-duper official to get posted here. :smirk:
