To summarize, if you use Internet Explorer on Windows to surf the web, please be very very careful. And consider moving to another browser, such as Mozilla (www.mozilla.org), Firefox (also www.mozilla.org) or Opera (www.opera.com).
If you think your PC has been infected, you should run an anti-spyware program such as Spybot (http://beam.to/spybotsd) to clean it up.
