I was just checking out Disney's pin trading website (http://eventservices.disney.go.com/pintrading/index) and there are few NEW Muppet pins slated for the first few months of 2008.

There is a Chinese New Year pin commemmorating the "Year of the Rat" and featuring Mickey Mouse and our own beloved Rizzo the Rat. (Available 1/4/08)

There is a Valentine's Day 2008 pin featuring the divine Miss Piggy and her main squeeze Kermie. (Available NOW!)

http://eventservices.disney.go.com/pintrading/pin?id=30987

There is a pin celebrating the fact that 2008 is a leap year featuring none other than our leaping friend, Kermit the Frog. (Available 1/20/08)

http://eventservices.disney.go.com/pintrading/pin?id=31055

and.....there is a pin celebrating St. Patrick's Day with Mr. Easy Being Green himself. (Available 1/27/08)

All of these pins can be seen at the above links and they should be available for purchase at Disneyland at the above dates. YAYYYYYYY!

I love them, apart from the Mickey one. I hate it when they try to mix Classic Disney characters and Muppets together. Two seperate brands - it should have been a Rizzo pin if it's a rat year!

My fave has to be the leap year one with the hanging date on a chain. That looks cool. Thanks for telling us about em!

You don't like the Rizzo/Mickey pin, Luke? I think it's hillarious! I love all of them! They look great!

I actually really like them all too, I think they're great. I can see your point though Luke, but I am with Ryan, I also find the Rizzo pin to be somewhat funny.

As much as I love Mickey, that pin doesn't make sense. Mickey is a mouse, not a rat. Oh well, I guess it's cute.

I like all of those pens, but it's a shame they're all Disneyland and not Disney World. I am more likely to go to Disney World than Disneyland. I would love to have the Leap Year pin!

As BabyGonzo said, my gripe is just, well, its the year of the RAT, and there is the RAT dressing up as a mouse to be with a mouse. If it was the year of the Mouse it would have made sense - i get the jitters when i see a Muppet wearing mouse ears, lol. That aside, i like em!

Actually, the Rizzo one will be in both Disneyland & WDW but they are pretty limited. It says in the description they will share the edition. The others however, just say Disneyland.

Disney are doing some great Pins with the Muppets. From Kermit's 50th Birthday onwards, they have been fantastic, doing things with pins that you wouldnt think of, such as making them multi layers, adding danglers, cutting out image shapes, etc.I am getting quite a collection now.

These are all so awesome! Very clever. One of my favorites is the "welcome to the family" pin. It's so nice to see that Disney is making the effort and including the Muppets. There's even Sam the Eagle and Swedish Chef pins in there too.
