OK, I got some questions about the Sesame Unpaved episode where María's and Luis's wedding dominates the theme of the episode. First off, the Count announces that the sponsor number of the day for this episode is the number 2. Well, as far as my short-term memory remembers, there weren't any sketches or songs or anything devoted to the number 2 shown on the episode. Just what segments on this episode justify the number 2 as the number of the day? Secondly, maybe my memory's playing cruel tricks on me, but I thought that the number of the day for this episode was the number 5. The reason I thought so was because I believed that there was a moment in the chapel before the actual wedding ceremony where David (maybe) and some other African-American performers stood up and did a sort of live song-dance routine with a big number 5 lighted up on a circular screen behind them. Did this segment as I've described it ever appear on the Wedding Episode of Sesame Street, on any other episode of Sesame Street, or never at all? Please reply to the best of your collective knowledge. Thanks for the help and have a pleasant tomorrow.

Perhaps because the story illuminates the joining of two people in love in matrimonial vows?

I checked out in the Jim Henson's World of Television book that the two letters and one number sponsored on the popular Maria and Luis's Wedding episode are A, L and 2. You know, the Count, I remember that the number 2 can be sponsored on this episode, but not 5.

Maybe there was originally a segment about the number 2, but Noggin edited it out.

2122 had TWO sponsors that had no segments (at least in the version on Unpaved), it was sponsored by B, K, and 5, but only B segments appeared.

First off, Rafael was performed by the Puerto Rican thespian Raul Julia. So if you saw someone who looked like Gomez Addams from both Addams Family movies during the Wedding episode, then yes Rafael was there. Secondly, María's also from Puerto Rico at least the character is, so her mother is affectionately called her Mamá. Thirdly, was that Luis's Father at the wedding? I was always under the impression that it was Luis's Uncle who was part of the SS family and that this was the only relative of the man in charge of the Fix-It-Shop seen as part of Sesame Street's 34 seasons. Please correct me if I'm wrong and also please tell me who performed both relatives of the groom and bride during the wedding episode. Thanks for your help and have a good night.

I definately want the original version of Maria and Luis's Wedding. I don't know what number '2' skit was cut off Noggin! And does any of you have the original version of Maria and Luis's Wedding? And also, I want to find out what skits/songs were seen in this episode!

I just wonder why Kermit didn't get an invitation. He could've got the Electric Mayhem to do the reception!

That 5 sketch you described never happened in the episode I watched and I have never heard of it. :frown: sorry
I actually have the wedding show on tape (its in my parents' house) and watched it at least 6 times over the years- enough to almost memorize it. Maybe the noggin show used pieces of the wedding sketch along with other skits to create a different rendering of it? Or it was shown several times in different formats? Those are my best guesses. Otherwise you can ask me any skit and I will tell you if it is on there or not.

Here are some I remember off the top of my head
1-kermit searches for the London fog but finds only a frog, a log, a hog, and a clog
2-I believe in little things -a song
3-pretty great performances- an all animal orchestra
4-mumford does a trick to dress Big Bird, Gina, and David for the wedding
