I like on the cover how Jim's right foot is just dangling over the water. And just how big is Big Boy? His head's like twice the size of Jim's.

By the way, it's signed "Manny Stallman, AEA". Anyone know what "AEA" stands for? Maybe "Always Eat At (Big Boy)". Or "Anyone's Eventually (an) Artist".

:stick_out_tongue:
I think it stands for Ain't Even an Artist. I go back to my theory that he was a big Big Boy dishwasher who was paid for drawing the comic in discarded floor fries.

But then again, just because it's old doesn't mean it's always good. The plague is old.... and this thing should have been avoided as such. :hungry:
Well I'm not really talking about whether it's "good" or not, hehe, just for its historical interest. Don't forget, some people make a living studying the plague.

Ya' know what I just noticed, on Busen's right shoulder is what appears to be Uncle Deadly.

On the second page of the comic, the words 'STORY BY MARI ROSTER' and ' ART BY MANNY STALLMAN' can be spotted under the comic's title.

Good catch! And btw, great avatar!
Thanks! I'm a bit of a fan of classic comedy. Anyway, I found a site that talks a little bit about Manny Stallman. It turns out, Stallman purposely used this strange style of characters on a regular basis.

After reading this, I honestly do not think that Mr. Stallman should be given a hard time for his design of drawing.

Did you vote for anyone in the PBS Favorite Classic Comedian poll?

I agree, clearly he has talent. And in the old days there was often a rebellion against traditional animation and drawings (away from the perfection of Disney and all hehe).
