Trace Adkins wrote Every Light in the House is On, and Cletus parodied it with Every Bulb in the House is Blown, Toby Keith wrote How Do You Like Me Now & I Love This Bar, and Cletus parodied them with How Do You Milk a Cow & I Love NASCAR, and Tim McGraw wrote Indian Outlaw, and Cletus parodied it with Indian Inlaws.

As well, Cletus is mentally-handicapped and is related to the Judd sisters, who were also hit country singers back in the early 90's.
