Is it me, or does that seem a bit too silly for Sesame Street? I don't think it teaches kids anything. In fact, all their parodies of recent shows don't really teach kids anything. Why do they do them?

The Count said:
Yeah... And to top it off, in Episode 4084: The Banana in the Stone, they dressed him up in a muscle shirt and gave him a fake tough guy mustache, calling him Strong Bob.
Bob: You'd think they'd have more respect for a Senior citizen like myself.
*From the Debrah Norville show special on the 35th season.

Oh geez...I realize he is in his 70s now, but it is still so weird to think of Bob as a "senior citizen".

Yeah well... His quote, not mine Bry.

Also, didn't Joe Hundred Guy teach kids how to count to 100 by 20's?
Parodies may not be necessary useful nor particularly educational... But they do convey a sense of humor, poking fun at past and/or present current trends and celebrities and popular programs.
Hope this helps.

Yeah, I guess parodies do teach kids something.

And I do like the Trianglebob Trianglepants thing. It's funny and catchy. I was singing that song all day today.
