Wow, those are really good ones! The only one I could get on the first try was the Moses one, and there are several I haven't been able to do at all!

I think the trick with the longer ones is not so much in saying them, but remembering them, lol!

I like those! The only one I really had trouble with was 'The shrew sees his shadow', but I got the others after a try or two.

And finally, after nearly nonstop practice, I can finally say 'toy boat' three times fast!
Thank you. I just love tongue twisters. And congratulations on the toy boat challenge. It's amazing how two short words can sometimes be tough tongue twisters.

Wow - that's really interesting to learn that about I Am So Proud from The Mikado since i've done that number before. I never knew that it incorporated all the sounds of the English language, but that's the least of the things that make it challenging to actually perform...besides vocal gymnastics with the words, there's memorizing it and performing it very fast (we did it at least three times each time faster than before to where it was really speeding off our tongues...) Oh, and of course there's the fact that in other parts of the song, you've got three people singing at once - not just different parts but also in different time signatures!

Without a doubt that was one of the most challenging pieces i've ever sang...but also one of the most rewarding when we finally got to the point in rehearsals where we were able to nail it.

Well that's interesting! Isn't great how we can all learn from each other?

I've never seen or heard The Mikado performed, but now I am tempted to as that sounds like a very interesting piece...How can three different people sing in three different time signatures at the same time?
