Who are the Muppets singing the cover of "Time in a Bottle" by Jim Croce? All I can tell is it's a duet and one of the two voices is Jim Henson.

You must have only HEARD the Muppet version. No wonder you think it's a duet.

The character who sings this song (in the Muppet Show with Edgar Bergen) is a very elderly lab scientist. He makes and drinks potions throughout the song that make him younger and younger (hence the different voices) and at the end he drinks one last potion and becomes old again. It's a great number.

.....and all the voices are Jim. The song was released sans-audience and sound effects on The Muppet Show 2 album from 1978. The episode is available on DVD and VHS as volume 10 of the series released by Time-Life. If you can wait to get it, I would suggest waiting until Columbia TriStar releases it commercially to stores once they start releasing their reissues starting in September.
