Haha, I get the picture. Man, in Canada the worst place for Timmy's HAS to be Sudbury. There's one every two blocks there... It's scary.

What better symbol of Canada... a beaver??
I suppose it could be worse. According to my step-uncle James, where he used to live in downtown Portland, Oregon, there were twenty-five Starbucks within a five-block radius of his apartment. And you thought we silly Canadians were addicted to coffee!

Oh, I like your beaver idea. Post edit:

"(Grabs dead beaver and Canadian flag on pole)"

Whoops, even better one:

"(Grabs Jean Chretien and Canadian flag on pole) 'Allo allo, what is going on 'ere?'"

Ha, and Starbucks is pricey too. But oh-so-good...

Now really, TA, you must control yourself and not be brandishing former prime ministers wherever you go. At least the dead beaver wouldn't mind... ><

OK, I've bashed Jean Chretien enough already. For that matter, I'll switch to former Presidents. And former Vice Presidents, while I'm at it. Jokes always play out a lot better with a mention of Dan Quayle, don't they?

(Actually, I'm a staunch libertarian. I read a lot of "Bloom County", so that's why I make so many political jokes. Of course, I could be making penguin jokes. But that's another story...)

Yeah, make penguin jokes. They quack me up more than political jargon seems to.

And my response there about Jean Ch. was actually dry humour. The humour was so dry, I think it may have just dried up completely and ceased to be funny, but I can't be sure.

Now all I can picture is the penguins in MWoO falling over when Jeffrey Tambor rips off Kermit's head. Ha!

I wasn't sure, I guess I need a sarcasm update. Excuse me while I go listen to my collection of "Here's Your Sign" MP3s.

Actually, here in Vancouver Timmy's is rare compared to the number of Starbucks. This is the only place in Canada like this.

My favourite Canadian symbol is beer.
