Wow, I haven't much to say.
But, I can safely state that...

He seemed utterly brave, instead of weeping of his condition
like the average everyday person would. I mean, I wouldn't know
how to control it if I knew I wasn't to live life at it's fullest (perhaps not, depends on our state but not to get gloomy--I am just kind of seeing this in realistic way)...

That is something to admire.
Being the joker that he was, I'd be shocked to see
a person in such a situation...to smile...laugh...ect.

For some odd reason...

I feel truly inspired.

Yeah hope that wasn't too heavy, most of the time we're pretty light hearted here. But occasionally we get into deeper topics.

I know, I can't imagine what it's like to know your life will be cut short, and you will miss all the things that come with increasing age. But his attitude is very inspiring. Death is probably the biggest fear many people have; but even then we can still inspire and still have hope and still enjoy our lives. I mean, worrying is not going to change anything. You might as well get as much joy out of life as you can.

Obviously we are all going to die, it's just a question of when and how. That's why we should always try to live life to the fullest. And remember what's important. You can have all the money in the world, or be the most popular kid on the block. But this world and this life is temporary and none of that will matter when your time is up. What will stay behind is how you treated people and how they remember you.

I think that's more true then anything. I know that I'm learning that more and more the longer life goes on.

By the way guys, Squishy's me. I got the Nick name in middle school and have had it ever sense. I could explain it but maybe another time perhaps, heh.

Oh ok cool, just wanted to make sure you weren't turned off by the slightly darker topic. I'm also occasionally drawn to serious conversation. Great that you like discussing all the issues and you made a good point.

That's true. Richard probably reflected quite a few times on what he'd miss - working on new Muppet projects, watching his nieces and nephews grow up - but he was aware of all that he had done.
I mean, he joined the Muppets at 18, was working in Europe by his mid-20s, won his first Emmy before he was 30, he had made friends all over the world...and not only that, but he'd made his mother the proudest woman in Closter, and he was the doting, loving uncle to all the kids in the Hunt family - let's face it, he lived enough for three lifetimes.

At the memorial, he's well aware that he's got the Grim Reaper breathing down his neck, and yet he's up there with Frank, singing "Simon Smith and his Amazing Dancing Bear" like he hasn't a care in the world. He wanted to be remembered as Richard Hunt, the Muppet performer, not Richard Hunt, the AIDS victim.

(Oh, and Claudia: feel free to comment on how you think Richard was/is rather handsome - trust me, you're hardly the first one here to think so. )

(That's true, heralde: that is a rather winsome photo of both the man and the Muppet - and does anyone besides me see somewhat of a resemblance? I admit I like the way Richard has his gray newsboy cap tilted to one side.)

I might have said this at one point, but it seems to me that, when Richard was up at the microphone during the memorial, he was comforting the people who were mourning Jim - but he was also comforting the people, in advance, who would be mourning him as well.

wow, you got me tearing up at that, Erin. Sorry I haven't really been up to snuff lately. Lot of different stuff niggling at my head ya know.

Well, went to traffic court today, and the lady wants to plead 'not guilty' and blame it on the Highway Department, claiming "the white lines were not painted properly" or some such nonsense. So, gotta go back in awhile for that mess of crap.

And she claimed she had dislocated her shoulder in the accident! ...we hugged each other, and she claims her shoulder was dislocated. (edit: not dislocated because of me, but because of the accident.)

I call BS on that, personally.

She isn't blaming me, she probably just wants to get her insurance lowered near to what it was before the accident; which I totally understand. But to claim her shoulder was dislocated and she had to pop it back into place...at the point when I hugged her, she would not have been able to claim "she was still in shock" over said accident, I would believe.

Also, I have a hematoma in my right breast; where that horrendous bruise was. Have to set up a diginostic mammograph for it. Never have had that done before, oh lovely.

And I've gotten another car. It's a 1998 Nissan Altima, gray-brown in color. I've saved a piece of Gracie's bumper so I can match color whenever I'm able to get it painted. Because as we love Richard, and Jim is everyone's personal hero (more then likely) my car will always and forever be KERMIT GREEN!

Edit'd: Erin you ziffel'd me! And I also love how the newsboy cap is tilted to the side, and he is SUCH a cutie!
