Good morning. No Richard dreams that I recall, cept I had four or five about Chris Farley. I love that little guy.

Thanks for the quote MuppetMatt.

Congratulations on your 221, Skye.
I like Chris Farley Too!

You know I can't say this for sure, but I have also seen that interview and Kevin mentioned that Richard told him that he didnt know what to do with the character and that he had been getting calls about it. They also showed footage where he was rather ruff with it.

So I'm thinking that sense he dose not like doing cute characters (or cute looking ones for that matter) That maybe he got stuck with it, and maybe the producers were telling him to be more cute with it to the point where he was frustrated with and that's around the time he passed it off to Kevin, and the producer that he did the voice for must have been the guy trying to get Richard to be Cuter with it.

It was as if to say, are you satisfied now kind of thing?

Another theory is maybe because he had so many ruff edge characters, the production decided that he needed a cute one, and he needed away out from it. just a guess though.

I always took that to mean he was sick of getting calls asking him to perform the character. He had no connection with Elmo and was annoyed having to keep coming it to do it.

I don't know... I think Muppet Newsgirl's scenario is my favorite! That was great. But just thinking about Richard doing Elmo is entertaining to me because of the fact that Elmo is so cutesy. The fact that Richard picked Elmo up in the first place just surprises me.

Maybe it was just handed off to him. Muppet Central's guide to the Muppet Show mentions how Richard was probably given Janice in the 2nd season since he was the only main performer who wasn't already part of the Electric Mayhem. And that in the first few episodes, he wasn't sure what to do with her character, until the Valley girl thing developed.

Yeah, I saw the episode where Richard did Janice for the first time (forget which one it was), her voice was more like a standard female voice he had used for other characters, none of the "fer sure" stuff. Interesting to notice these things. :flirt:

Ha, great Muppetnewsgirl. "Get sweet revenge..." as if he writes it down in his daily planner. Sorry, I'm a little late, because you all either have different time zones, or don't have jobs that require you to stay off Muppetcentral.

Which episode was it, Heralde?

Well I've heard the other voice, but I didn't know the back story to it.
