Chalk this up under random thoughts - I was just mulling over one of the stories from "Jim Henson's Bedtime Stories," the one where Waldorf learns that Statler's been secretly volunteering as a troop leader for the Junior Rangers.
We figured that was certainly appropriate for a Richard character, considering Richard's fondness for working with kids. In addition, it's also fitting that Statler's working as a Scout-type troop leader, since Richard was a Boy Scout as a kid. (Wonder what he got his merit badges in?)
