Hi, Sara, nice to see you back. So you're working for the local DMV or something?

I know what you mean, heralde - I've always been a behind-the-scenes sort of person; back in high school, I was in the drama club, but as a member of the crew. But when I took a couple of drama classes in college, we had to do a few readings of some play, and one of the drama majors told me I did pretty okay.

And there are so many stories about famous actors and comedians who were really shy as kids, and told jokes and made people laugh as a defense mechanism. On the other hand, there are also those kids, Richard definitely included, who weren't shy at all and used any available moment to make people laugh.

That's great, MN! I hope you can get to do more of it. I got a lead in High School and a friend said afterward "You can be happy knowing you enthralled an audience."

I also worked for the crew too, which is just as important. It always annoyed me when audiences don't applaud for the crew. I mean how do they think a play gets made?

Oh yeah, you can never assume shy people have nothing to offer.

I wish you and Rob all the very best Sara. May things keep going good for you now on.

Hello everybody. I haven't been here much myself either. I've still been reading C. S. Lewis' Chronicles of Narnia to my mother.
We've finished reading a special omnibus edition that contains the first three Narnia books in the chronological order of the series.
1. The Magician's Nephew
2. The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe
3. The Horse and his Boy

Now we've begun reading the other books and we are so enjoying them.

Well I've always been kinda shy, but enjoyed performing for my family or friends when I felt at ease, so I think my parents thought acting would be a good outlet. I still get nervous everytime, but I know that will only sabotage me. And when I please an audience, it's such a wonderful feeling. If you get the chance, I'd definitely recommend. It can be fun but also helpful with self confidence.
I'm actually much the opposite way. I'm actually more afraid to preform in from of friends and family because I know they will usually be more critical and that make same a but nervous. Usually crowds of strange people are not as judgmental of your performance at least not directly to you. And I think I know that you mean about how wonderful a feeling you get after you pleased a crowd. I just hope they can stomach more, lol! But thank you for the recommendation and I would love to get the chance someday! I've been in from of crowds before but nothing to major involving acting. But, I've always been told that I have what it takes. But I totally understand what you mean about the crew not getting the credit or respect they deserve, That truly are the ones who make it happen!

Oh wow! I hope you like your new job, Sara and good luck with the wedding plans too!

I'm the exact same way... I have always been more nervous in front of my friends and family. When I did dance recitals, I always tried to talk my family into not coming because I was so nervous in front of them, lol! But it is one of the best feelings to perform in front of a crowd and know that you're making them happy and that they love what you're doing. That is the reason I always looked forward to performing so much!

Glad to hear things are going well for you, Sara. Good luck with everything!

I'm glad to hear that your acting class is going well too, heralde. It sounds like so much fun!

Aw sweetie! That those are great reason to look froward to preforming! I actually would mind if my family or friend were watching form the audience, thouhg. I like to prepare mentally and have then see the reel thing. I just get nervous that it they've already seen it done or rehearsed if so many times they might grow board of it by then, heh!

Not really. They've privatized doing the license plates now. The DMV decided to do such a thing with this "state-wide" unrolling of new plates. Meaning EVERYONE WHO DRIVES A PASSENGER VEHICLE gets new plates.

That's...a lot of people. Just today we did 10,000 plates. Well, 6 of us did. I did about 13 boxes today. That's 1,300 plates. Give or take a few. The DMV hates to print the numbers "100" or "666", so the 100 series, and 600 series have only 99 plates, instead of 100 like normal.

Well, I gotta do some stuff around the house, I'll see you guys tomorrow!
