Ah... You know, I saw this back on Nick when I had better sight in the 90's and I loved it. Yes, that classic foreign film by Gummo Bergman, the stupid one. Behold... The Angel ofBeaker! Duska duska duska! Stop this nonsense! We want some good old-fashioned American nonsense instead!

BTW: Who was the female character selling popcorn in the balcony box that scared Waldorf out of his seat?

Of course it makes perfect sense for Beaker to be in a foreign film, since English is clearly not his first language, hehe. Oddly enough though, even in Swedish, he's a meepster!

Not sure if the popcorn lady has a name. She was just in that one scene I think. Hmm...

Wouldn't you love to see the puppeteers underneath in this scene? Lol

Yep, got that one on DVD from our favorite forum DVD trader Kermie Clown!
 Only saw it once or twice though.
The Three Musketeers tis my favorite of those clips. It just seems to be pure zanyness at its finest! Even the Muppet Show doesn't give me that many laughs!

Yeah it's awesome, I wish I still had it on tape (Or better yet, that Disney would put it on DVD! :coy: ). My favorite is Floyd and Janice's duet. I remember seeing the show around 1994 and randomly thinking "Janice has such a cool voice!" Lol. And then the next sketch was the Muppets tribute to the Western and at one point Richard voices one of the cows. I didn't know who Richard was at the time, but I remember thinking "You know, that is a voice I always associate with the Muppets." I often fast forwarded to these two parts.

Hehe, perhaps the special was a pre-RHLC introduction!

Btw, did anyone see that story in General Discussion about that boy? Very sad...

Yeah, I just saw it.
:sympathy: I feel kinda bad for not responding, but I couldn't really think of anything substantial to say.

Aw, it's OK. Sometimes you can't think of anything to say, especially in a tragedy. Or sometimes it comes later on. In ancient times before the Internet, it was enough to just read the article.

Aw no problem!

Don't want to dwell on this too much, but I agree with what frogboy said on that thread, I can't imagine being a kid today with all the new technology. And I thought bullying was bad in my time! (or in Richard's time when you couldn't even deliver papers without someone bugging you) It's so frustrating how much pain kids have to go through, often for not fitting in with a group. Not nearly enough adults take it seriously.

Oh, the majority of adults, (most if not all muppeteers excluded), have never taken kids seriously. That's something that has never changed.
:frown:
And it's funny; I keep hearing how very hard the internet can be on kids what with cyber bullying and all, but I never quite understood it. I guess though, that that's because myself and most of the people I talk to online are mature adults, and we know how to handle ourselves. Not to mention that we're just nice people by nature!

Yeah I think the cyber bulling is mainly happening among younger kids. There have always been cliques and teasing and isolation, but instead of it ending when schools ends, kids go on the Internet and find the bullies have followed them home. Contrary to popular belief, the US does not have a great track record when it comes to children.

But I refuse to just blame the Internet. Everyone's in pain, but kids are not being taught how to deal with it. They're not having morals instilled in them that says bullying is wrong. They're growing up with apathy; they just don't think they have to care.
