A Fraggle Rock book with no mention of Richard? Now that's what I call incomplete!
I know ::shivers:: what a nightmare! lol

I know I said before I'm not buying The Muppet Show Second Season DVD until around Christmas. But I did catch a quick view of the Zero Mostel episode (Btw, you have to see him in The Producers film, classic!). I liked Scooter's moment with Kermit at the beginning. We get to see a bit more of the dynamic between Kermit, Scooter and his uncle. I liked the way Uncle JP seemed to be asking if everything's fine, Like, "Is that frog mistreating my nephew?" Lol

And Richard would make sure to haunt the author for the rest of his or her life.

"Is that frog mistreating my nephew?" More like, "Is that frog ruining my investment?" Not to be cynical or anything, but J.P. Grosse would be more concerned about where his money's going than what Scooter's up to.

To this day, I have a hard time believing that sweet, lovable Scooter is related to old J.P. Then again - maybe Scooter took after whichever parent is not related to J.P.

Yeah it is a bit hard to see a family resemblance there. Except maybe for the time Scooter nearly sold out the Muppets to take his Uncle junk yard position, lol. But I suppose you can't entirely blame him.

Hey, what is really Rev and it's goin around...Muppet in-jokes! That clip I mentioned the other day from Sesame Street? I didn't hear this at first, but towards the end of the clip, you can hear Richard and Jerry's characters have this exchange:

J: "A totally Rev party!"

R: "Yeah you flooped very very nicely...he's a good flooper!"

J: Lol

I really like that they seemed to enjoy their work as much as we did. Though, shame on them for even discussing flooping, didn't they learn anything? lol

Hmm, now where have we heard that before? Either Richard and Jerry are bringing their work home with them from Toronto, or the Doozers have set up a colony somewhere in Sesame Street.

You'd think Richard certainly would have learned his lesson, with him playing Turbo and all that. Then again, he's a silly creature. (emphasis on silly) So flooping wouldn't be as bad for him as it would be for a Doozer.

Hey guys... Thought you'd like to know... You know about Steve Swanson's Muppetcast podcast? Well, I encourage the RHLC-ers to listen to Episode 20's audio portion. It takes up almost an entire hour, but it's time well spent.
Of particular note to the RHLC community...
1 SarahOnBway donated audio recordings she took from the benefit banquet panel discussion at the Muppets Music & Magic presentation in Huntington Lodge, NY earlier this month. There's a brief mention/explanation by Kevin Clash when it's his turn to talk about his earliest Muppeteering memories where he talks about Richard and Elmo of course.
2 Towards the end of the episode, listen to the Muppets Montage for the Little Muppet Monsters songs. Not only do you get the theme song, but there's audio from one of the episodes. And it's none other than Richard as Scooter getting the Little Muppet Monsters back into their basement dwelling beneath the theater, sort of pushing and shoving Tug Monster voiced by, well, you'll have to listen to find out. Though I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

That's all for now. Resume your silliness and flooping.

That's true, lol, flooping doesn't make silly creatures' insides go up and down...right?

Thanks so much, Count! I loved hearing Dave and Kevin and the others at the panel (wish I could have been there)!

And Little Muppet Monsters! You know, my parents insist I watched the show, but I have no memory of it. Well that's not true. Part of me feels like those cartoon images of Fozzie and Kermit that were on the show are VERY familiar. So I suppose it's possible!

Anyway, Scooter does not sound thrilled with having to look after the three baby monsters (I can just imagine him thinking, "I'm a go-fer, not a babysitter!"). The three monsters sort of remind me of the Animaniacs. You know, they were locked in a tower (or basement in this case) for all these years and everyone denied they existed? lol

Tug Monster sounds a little Junior, if he ever managed to get over his lisp thing. I really like David Rudman's voice for Boo, so cute! And it's great to see a Camille Banora character, pretty rare and she's great. I really wish I could have seen it when they all said "Penguins?" lol

Well I can understand Jim pulling the plug on the show if he didn't think it was good enough. Of course now anything to do with The Muppets would be in high demand.

Funny... I'm not sure it was so much that Jim pulled the plug as so much as CBS never gave LMM it's fair share, only two episodes out of about eighteen produced were ever shown. And this would've been back in 1987, when LMM was part of a block from my memory... CBS was airing three episodes of Muppet Babies in a row, LMM in between, and an animated series based on the WWE.

The animated versions of Fozzie and Kermit, if grownup versions, might be from an episode of Muppet Babies where they went to a sort of high-tech version of Disney MGM or now Disney Hollywood Studios. There was a part of the episode that featured a Pigs in Space cartoon and a segment sort of patterned on TGMC where Baby Kermit and Fozzie slipped behind the screen and showed up in grownup form for the others to watch.

Mmm, memories...

Well it's just that Muppet Wiki and a few other sources say Jim felt the show wasn't quite up to the Muppet standards. It's interesting how these things aren't really apparent until a show airs. But that's how it goes.

Well I know they show those cartoons (adult Kermit and Fozzie and Pigs in Space) as part of the Little Muppet Monsters montage in the 30th Anniversary special. But thanks for that extra info! Wherever they're from, they seem very familiar to me. I would love to get this figured out at some point. lol

Yeah, memories are good...

Well....Gracie is totaled. Got into an accident a couple of days ago. Busted her front up quite nicely. I've got a bruised right breast, collarbone, and stomach. As well as a mild case of whiplash.

It wasn't my fault though. Some lady was trying to turn right into a dirt area, didn't realize there was a turning lane; and I hit her in the side. Luckily niether of us had passengers, so neither of us were hurt badly.

But I know at least my car has to be totaled. Because apperently it isn't worth getting it repaired.

...I just don't know. I think I am going to take Friday off. I really need the hours, but at this moment in time, I frankly don't care. I'm still recovering from the accident. My parents will give me crap about it, but it's my first accident (in which I was the driver at least, I'd been in a rear-end accident when I was 9 or 10, when I was in the backseat.); and I'm still shaken up about it.

I'm sleeping hard, and long, and occasionally I'm waking up re-living the dang thing!

Mmm... Dunno Sara... Sounds like you need some gentle hugs lately. But you're part of the family, so you know we're here to listen to you.
One good thing, though I'm not sure you could call it a good thing... Since your car might end up being totaled... At least now you can use your George Burns impersonation and tell it "Say good night Gracey".
