Aw, your welcome, heralde! I really am here for you if you need it as an equivalent of a friend seeing as we do not really know each other. You're right, life is to short to spend it depressed. It's so much better to be happy. It really is so important to look on the up/brighter side of things, and to focus on the things that are really important and really matter in life. Sometimes we forget or over look what we have right in front of us. You really do have to appreciate the people who come into out lives. I have lost a lot of frinds and the things I have learned it have only made me want to hold onto the things in my life right now even more. Obsessing really in not good. Except over Richard, haha! But you have to relize that silly little things arn't always the most important things in life. I hope that made some kind of sense.

Yeah. It's really easy to let the little things get to you, but in the long run, it's just not worth it. It's so important to not take the things and the people you love and the people who love you for granted, and to truly appreciate them. And to try to do whatever you can to be happy in your life. These, to me, are some of the most important things to try and do.

You're both very right. It's becoming more and more obvious to me lately. A couple Summers ago, my dog past away. We knew it was coming, we had her for many years. The day she past, I was the only one in the house. I could see she wasn't doing well and I stayed with her for awhile. But I spent a lot of day trying to take care of a problem and getting all worked up and upset. It really wasn't so important and I wish I had just dropped it and spent more time with her. But I try not to be too hard on myself, we did have a nice moment and I know that wherever she is, she still loves me.

Aww, I'm sorry that happened to you, heralde. I remember when I lost my kitty, too. :frown: It's so amazing how much pets mean to us, hehe! And I began to realize, after she was put down, that remembering all the really great times I had with her was the best thing to do. I started getting so close to her a few years before she passed, and I'm so glad that I got to spend more time with her during that time. Absolutely... I really believe that of the people and animals we've lost, no matter where they are, they will always love us as much as we will always love them.

Aww, those are really sad stories guys. I'm so sorry that you both had to go through thoses things. And it was important to be able to spend more tome with her haralde.

And it is important to remember the times that you speant with them. I presonally think that animals just go back to the dirt where they came from, though.

Oh yeah, I remember you talking about your Kitty, Skye. They are very important to us. That's great that you got closer to her towards the end. I hope we can all learn to appreciate things while we have them.

Well, to bring the mood up a bit, I found this quote someone on the web said came from Richard, in a 1979 issue of Circus Weekly:

"If you don't dig sore arms, don't work with
puppets. I've got a solution. When my right arm gets sore, I go out to a
court and shoot left-handed baskets. That gets my left arm sore."

Certainly sounds like him!

Yeah it is a classic Richard-ism! Hehe.

Oddly though, it reminds me of that quote from the Muppet Fanclub Newsletter, "Richard, whose arm had never before hoisted anything more exotic than a basketball, found himself puppeteering, finally working up to a Muppets special on "The Ed Sullivan Show.""

I remember we later decided that this couldn't be true, since Richard's mother said he used to play with puppets before he joined the Muppets. And it probably isn't. But now after seeing a second basketball reference associated with Richard, I'm wondering if he might have said something about Basketball in that interview to encourage the writer to say that. Hmm...

Yeah, I remember that conversation too. It is weird. But you know, some writers like to come up with their own weird takes on some stories sometimes, heh.
