And ya know, I love the outlook you had on people who wear glasses. I wear glasses too, and I actually felt kind of special getting my first pair, too. But, when my sister first found out she needed glasses, she never wanted to get them... it took her like 4 years to finally give in and get them! And even now, she only wears them when she's driving. *Sigh* I guess she just doesn't understand the coolness of it all!

I wear titanium glasses right now, they're very lite and you can see more of the face, which is great. I tried contacts for awhile but found them very difficult. I'll probably try again sometime.

Mmm... I could never imagine trying contacts. I guess I'm kinda squeamish, hehe. I don't think I could get 'em to work for me. But I think it's awesome that you tried them!

Poor dear, I guess she doesn't understand. Guess it's all those silly people who once called people with glasses "four-eyes." My glasses make me look bookish and nerdy...and I am bookish, nerdy and proud of it.

And I don't mean to brag or anything, but I had a good look at that one photo of Richard and Scooter, the one taken on the set of Muppetvision 3D in 1990 or thereabouts (photo's on Rick Lyons' site), and it looks like Richard has on the same style of glasses that I wear.

Yeah, you do get the four eyes tretment at firest, but thet eventually get over it, though onec they relise that you were the same person berfore you had them.

Right that was my problem, I just couldn't put something near my eye. I can barely use eye liner for the same reason.

I would like to try them again sometime, just because I would like to show my face a bit more (not that I'm vain or anything...right?...stop judging me! lol).

Hehe, me too! I've always had such a hard time even thinking about doing it. And when I was younger, I thought I might want contacts, but I love wearing glasses!

I've always thought that "four-eyes" thing was really sad. No one's ever called me that (well... except for my dad, haha, but he was joking as he wears glasses, too. He's such a weirdo! ), but it's silly to do that, and to worry about it. But silly... ahh yes, that's my family for ya.

And heralde, I think it's awesome that so many of us wear glasses! Must be something in the air over here!
