Absolutely, and you know, you said it perfectly. That is definitely the way I personally love to live my life, because positive thinking can do wonders for you, mentally, emotionally... in every way, really. It's definitely something I've adopted, heh!
Aw thanks, yeah I wrote it and re-wrote over and over again to make sure it was perfect, hehe.

That gives me an idea, maybe I'll do a John Denver sig at some point.

Yup, nothing should make you give up on life. Something else will always come along if you're open.

John Lennon said once, "It's better to have it hard than to not have it at all."

And George Harrison said in one of his songs, "Beware of saddness, it can hit you, it can hurt you, make you sore and what is more, that is not what you're here for."

I really, really like that one. It really is true. And I do believe that we are here to be there for others and to try our best to make them happy as well as do what we can to make ourselves happy... to really try and do the things in life that make us truly happy, because that's what I feel life is about. That's what makes us want to go for it and do something... if it makes us happy and if we love doing it. Or if it will have a really positive outcome. Because sadness does come into all our lives at some point for some reason or another, but after some time has passed, we should try and push through that and follow our dreams and our hearts to make our happiness real and come true. Because quite frankly, sadness... sucks! (Maybe that's why I use that silly smiley so much!)

That would be awesome if you did a John Denver sig, too, heralde. He has so many amazing lyrics!

Yeah I do too, from what I've heard, George cared a lot about social and religious issues, but perhaps too much. It's easy to get depressed sometimes. I think that's why he'd write lyrics like that.

You can't stop bad things from happening. And you can't stop yourself from feeling sad when they do. It's how you ultimately handle it that matters. You're not here to give into saddness. You let it inspire you to keep going. At least that's what I think.

Exactly. I'm with ya. It is how you handle the sadness that matters... try to not let it stick with you, turn it around, and do your best to come out of it.

I really do like that signature, Skye, because it's almost like he's amazed at "how sweet it is." I don't think our society really preaches being generous and caring for other people. And it doesn't always come naturally to us. When you think about it, when people are mean, it's because they're not happy. Something's wrong. Otherwise, why be mean? So, you're absolutely right, trying to be happy in your life can make things better for you, and those around you.

Oh yeah, you're so right. I really love how much John Denver cared about other people, animals, the environment... everything. He was just such a loving, caring guy and I really admire that about him. And I completely agree... people can be mean sometimes if they're having a bad day, or they're dealing with something negative going on in their life... anything like that. Meanness does usually center around someone being unhappy. And then they're just spreading that unhappiness to others. It's a sad cycle! And happiness spreads just as easily. And happiness is way more fun to try and spread to others!

Yeah I like how the people on this thred get along, too!

But I would agree. When people are mean usually there is usually something giong on with their own life porsonally. That's why I try to be sinsivetive to someone who is acting like that because maybe they need some kindness in their life, too. Even when they don't give in at that moment. it really pays offf leter. Butit's better then being mean right back and just spreding it aroung futher. To just try to end it with you and don't let it go ant futher.

I love the discussions we have! And yes, it is good to give people the benefit of the doubt. I've found that occasionally offering kindness in the face of meanness can have a positive effect.

A lot of people have probably already seen this, but someone posted the Star Wars episode of The Muppet Show. Now to most people on the forum, that just means "Yay, Star Wars!". But here at the RHLC, it very clearly means "RamaLambaDingDong" and "Six String Orchestra!"

I've said this before, but this episode was really great to have when I was going through a difficult period, so it's one of my favorites.

It means "RamaLamaDingDong" and "Six-String Orchestra"...which very clearly means: a double dose of Richard (or at least his voice and his right arm) in the spotlight.
