Just don't mind your Club Leader. She's frustrated because she's broke, and has bills and all sorts of real life stuff being thrown at her. I just feel like going off like Don Music on my wall lately.

*snuggles her Scooter plushie and just decides to write some more of her Fraggle story.*
Aw, I'm so sorry to hear that your having a tough time w/ the bills and all that jazz. :frown: Lucky me, I don't haveta pay bills- YET!

Hi Sara. I love the new avatar too:smile: I guess it must be Skeeter.

BTW My mother is looking well and my trip to stay with her was great. Those bubbles Bill and I blew praying for good results really worked well didn't they?
Praise the Lord:big_grin:

Anyway now I'm back I'm going to start watching my Muppet Shows with the Morsels on and pick out some cool Mr. R. Hunt moments to talk about in here.

And Katie. I do plan to start that Tezuka thread eventually but for now I'll also start watching one Sailor Moon disc at a time and commenting on the stories in my thread so you'll be able to discuss them with me. Won't that be swell?:excited:

Time to bump the thread up.

Update on the quilt: we've sewn down most of the panels and we're starting to quilt around some of them. Statler and Sweetums are mostly done.
I painted and heat-set Scooter's face and sewed him onto the panel, and I had the honor of sewing his hair on.
Get a load of this: hanging on the wall in our music room, we have a big, deep-piled hooked rug that Mom made years ago (it was designed to be hung on the wall...and even more so after Dad's mom started asking when she got to walk on it). It's this splotchy thing in orange, yellow and brown...and we needed a few strands of carpet yarn for Scooter's hair. Guess where Mom got that essential yarn from?
If that's not dedication to a project, I don't know what is. Besides, she only plucked out eight strands, so no one will notice.

Now THAT'S dedication! Glad you're making progress. It's almost like it was fate that the rug just happened to be there.

Random thing, the other day I saw a Snuffy stuffed toy in a Hallmark. I have been sort of down lately, so I decided to buy it. He's so adorable, I hug him everynight. ::insert Snuffy smiley::

Sorry Erin, I didn't notice your birthday thread, Happy Birthday!

Oh, isn't that sweet. Snuffy always looked like he needed a hug.

Mom said she made the rug not too long after she and Dad got married, which would have been right around the time the Muppet Show was on the air.
She'd rather remove a few bits of yarn from it for an AIDS quilt panel than let her mother-in-law (now deceased) walk all over it.

Yeah, he has. So funny, I put him on my Dad's shoulder the other day, and he was like, "Get that Snuffleupa-whatever off me!" Lol, I couldn't believe he remembered the name after all this time!
