I guess my problem with dreams, is where most people say they can have dreams about a certain subject by thinking about it before they fall asleep, I seem to be just the opposite.
Oh my God, I thought I was a FREAK! Maybe we're both freaks, but that happens to me too!

Do any of you know any of his likes and dislikes?
Uh...puppets, orange juice, science, performing, kids, and...crazy stuff (i.e. )

Yup, same thing here too, usually. That's why I figured I definitely wouldn't have a dream about him last night... because I was thinking about him a lot. Weird how that happens, though!

One more thing... Muppet Newsgirl, I love books on dreams. Anything in it that you'd care to share with your crazy buddies here?

Has anyone here heard the quote from Richard hunt when he was talking about the Muppeteer where he says were all just crazy, unlike everybody, we just get paid for it or something to that effect. I think it was on 60 minutes in the early eighty's.

I've heard the quote, and it was on 60 Minutes.

I just got a book that deals with dreams, psychology, sleep patterns and the structure of the brain. I wasn't interested in the more mystical books up there, and let's face it: if I took everything the "dream dictionaries" said at face value, I'd go nuts.
For example: one book said that dreams about puppets usually mean that the dreamer feels he/she has no control over his/her life, and dreams about puppeteers mean the dreamer is a control freak. That's DEFINITELY not the case here; around here, dreams about puppets and puppeteers mean we've been fantasizing about the Muppets and the people who play them (R.H. in particular).

Well, I've herd form other Muppeteers the he was a bit of a perfectionist, and those that really new him, knew he was a nice person.

Wow, Sarah was right; this joint is jumpin'! I'm sure I've been ziffled at least twice already, lol!
I'm also very interested in thescience of dreams and sleep, although I've never really read any books on it, so any info you could give would be great. Thanks.

And just for the record, I can't believe I was exactly right about the double ziffle!
Yeah, I know what you mean about dream books. Most of them, (the ones that I've seen anyway), say that they're just for entertainment though.
What do you think about what Ilikemuppets said about the perfectionist thing? I don't want to believe it, but I believe if it's true, then it must be noted.

Truth be told, he definitely seemed like some kind of control freak at Jim Henson's funeral. As I've said in other threads, he seemed to be in automatic pilot mode and just speaking as though he was following a pattern. No spirit. It FREAKED me out. But I guess that's what happens to some people when there's a tragedy. It just seemed so unlike him, you know? So perfectionist sounds right...if that makes sense.

Other interviews I've read show that Richard wanted perfection particularily on Sesame Street, which turned out really great, because look how much the kids are learning. :stick_out_tongue:
