I'm sorry. You're right. There are real Fraggles. I saw one once. He was sitting on the shelf at Target, and he waved. Then I bought him, and now he's on my bed. His name is Wembley, do you know of him?

You're right Skye. I've missed his puns somewhat too. If he had lived a while, he could have made his own book of them. That'd be cool. A picture of Dramatic Author Richard on the front, and it turns out to be a book full of tasteless gasp-inducing puns.

Aw, tell Wembley I love him. He's so cute.

Ooo, Dramatic Author Richard... nice thought. That would be just another different side of him, hey? Haha, great idea for a book. I know I would love it!

Yay! It came in the mail! Yay!!!!

Ok, so far all I've done is watch "Fraggle Wars" and Steve' Home Movie.

Thankfully, "Fraggle Wars" was the fantastic episode I hoped it would be. For anyone who doesn't know...

SPOILERS

Mokey and Red are on camping trip and Mokey discovers a group of Cave Fraggles who are mean and have no sense of humor. They capture her and lock her in a cage. The Rock Fraggles (that's our guys) and the Cave Fraggles nearly go to war over their differences.

The anti-war and anti-prejudice themes are great of course. But also, there was the sense that the Rock Fraggles represented a free and equality society, whereas the Cave Fraggles lived under a dictatorship, something we in the real world can identify with. At one point while she's in the cage, Mokey sings, "pity the soul that's not free." She's not just talking about herself, locked in a cage. She's speaking for the Cave Fraggles and anyone else who's not free to think for themselves. It was very moving.

One more thing, as the episode starts we see Red and Mokey camping out, discussing how exciting they are to be out exploring on their own. Mokey slyly asks Red why they seem to have gone exploring in the OPPOSITE direction of Gobo (you know, implying that Red did that on purpose). It was interesting, I don't think I saw such a deep conversation between the characters in the first season. This was an indication of how the series was starting to mature.

Steve's Home Movie was great, it was very generous of him to include it. In a way, Richard got his moment in the Bonus Features after all, despite obviously not being able to do the main interviews.

Wembly? Wembly? Do I know him? Let's see... Ah yes, the fellow that saddly, I've been pretty much ignoring of late.
Awww, he waved to you? How cute. Then again, it was probably because he was tired of being propped up on that shelf all day waiting for you.
 But back to Richard.
Marshmellows? *gasps loudly* Tasteless indeed! Besides, I don't think cremations are publick...

Nice, MuppetNewsgirl. Real nice. Send away the reason this club was created. We have to humor his puns and attempts at jokes, no matter how awful. Though that one was pretty awful. And I guess he deserves some quality time with Amanda. Just make sure he gets back without breaking anything.

Note: MBM got shiver up spine when "Richard" just said her name on this board. MBM = Muppet Dork.
Oh, for Pete's sake, I was just fooling...but you kind of knew that, didn't you? I say that kind of stuff all the time to people I actually like.

I've made the marshmallows/cremation joke quite a few times myself.

I thought a whole marshmellows/cremation joke was quite a laugh, Muppet Newsgirl. Although I have a v.v. crude sense of humour, I do (ask anyone, my family, my friends, yeah  ).
My dad once told me he wanted to be cremated and also wanted the song 'Put another log on the fire' to be played at the same time. BA-DOOM-CH! lol, sorry. :embarrassed:

*wants to bang head slowly against a wall for that pun* Must. Get. Image. Of. Richard. Laying. In. The. Creamation. Room. Out. Of. Head.

Must. Get. Image. Out. X___X

I've seen someone get creamated before, on the TV. The whole deal....and...and the fire coming up and...Ooohhhh....

Yes, it's a nice and bad pun but....now my stomach is doing flips, replaying the image of Richard in there. *shudders*

In other news....I have a job finally! I work at 14 Carrot Whole Foods store! Yay! I'm a cashier, and today is my first day at work. The coolest part?

The store opens at 9am, and closes at 7pm. It's not crack-o'-dawn opening like The-Store-That-Shall-Not-Be-Named....

All I'll say is they have had many frivilous lawsuits hurled their way.

Coffee, anyone?

So, I work at a store where hippies, beatniks, and other fringe-society people shop. I love it. So, in a couple of hours, off to work I go!

*Wheeling in breakfast cart... Some choc doughnuts? Glass of OJ before you leave Sara? Creamaura cremation coffee? Sorry, but it's an even worse joke from Talk Soup's John Henson.
No, he has no relation to Jim or his son... Though they did parody our froggy leader with a character named Dermit the Frog.

I'll take an OJ, thanks. But I'll pass on the donuts.

Sara, it's okay, I feel a little jittery about the concept of cremation...but remember, it was only the body that was being burned. By that time, Richard himself would have been lounging around on a nice comfy cloud up in heaven. Try thinking about that instead. It's what I like to think about.

Here's a little chuckle for you: I read a story somewhere about a writer who dictated that when he died, he was to be cremated, and ten percent of his ashes were to be thrown in his agent's face.
