Yeah, that monster book does sound interesting, and very Richard-like!
Haha, did Richard actually refer to Elmo as "the red menis"?
I wouldn't be surprised if Richard called him something much more colorful than "the red menace."

You're right, Muppet Newsgirl. He pro'ly referred to him as something that will and can not be restated here.

All right, I cheated. In two ways, actually. One, this Kermit book isn't supposed to come out until tomorrow, but by some fluke, Amazon sent it to us. But that wasn't my fault. Two, I begged and begged my mother to let me unwrap and read this book, until she finally gave. Now I'm reading it. Richard is very, very not mentioned in it. Almost every other key Muppeteer is, which I find odd, but he's not. But it's still an amazing book, and I recommend it to you. I'll let you know if my skimming skills prove me wrong and it turns out Richard has an entire chapter.

Sometimes working in a library has its advantages. Yesterday I was processing new books to put on the shelves, and what should I come across on the pile but Kevin Clash's autobiography?

I couldn't check it out Saturday, since the shelf date isn't until Tuesday, but I did make sure that it was put on hold for me. And once I get it I'm going to go through and find all the places Richard is mentioned. I did see a couple mentions while flipping through it - Richard passing Elmo on to Kevin, then later Richard joking that Kevin owed him "half an Emmy" when Kevin won his first Emmy award as Elmo, because Richard had been the one to give him the little red menace- er, monster.

There was another book that I processed called Frankenstein Makes a Sandwich. It's all about the problems various famous movie monsters have. Like the Phantom of the Opera. I mean, the poor guy; first he gets "Small World" stuck in his head, then "Pop Goes the Weasel" and then "The Girl from Ipanema"...

Richard probably would have liked it.

I like the sound of both those books Kim. Very appealing to me they are:big_grin:
The second one is very funny I agree, Richard would most likely have gotten a laugh out of it.

Kim, Kevin's autobiography does sound awesome! Very cute stories you mentioned. And the second book sounds quite amusing. You and Marty are right, I can totally see Richard getting into a book like that.

MBM, that's too bad that you haven't found Richard in that book yet, though I'm glad that you're liking it so far. Hope you're finding out entertaining stuff about other key Muppeteers. And let us know if you find something about our guy!

Kim, did you figure out why Frankenstein had trouble making a sandwich? And you guys are right, that's Richard's kinda book. Or rather, script, in his case.

65, but yeah! Cool! I should start thinking about what I want my "big post" to be...hmm...I think it would suffice nicely to be here.

Hey, MN and Skye only have about 555 more posts. More than halfway. Is Sara a senior member yet?
