Sara, that's a great idea! I love it. And I'm with Kate... I'd also love to see a picture when it's all said and done!

I will certainly post a photo. Possibly a short movie, as I've done with Aghura. Which you can view your glorious leader at.

Sara, that is so cute. I'd never seen it before. Thanks for posting it!

So, I went out to lunch with my cousin and a few friends, one of whom I'd only met once before. And while she was talking, I saw that she had the Richard-like gap between her teeth! I couldn't help but think about him, and of course, you guys.

Thank You!!!!!

Where to start......

First of all a HUGE thanks for all the wonderful comments about Richard! Its so nice to know that other people appreciate, care for and miss him as much as we do!!
I guess I should explain that I am Richard's oldest niece and I guess you can say family spokes person. I spoke with Grandmother (his mom Jane) today and shared with her about the RHLC! She was flabergasted and will check out the site soon!

Anyway, I wanted to also stop the rumorsabout Richard's grave site..... He does not have one!!!!!!! He was creamated and some of his ashes were spread over the peonies at our family home in Closter, NJ. The rest are in a wooden box at our house on Cape Cod in which he spent alot of time. Friends and family are encouraged to sprinkle ashes into the Cape Cod bay when ever the urge suits! You can still sit and talk to him (I'm sure he is listening!) but you can do it anywhere! No need to go to a grave site! I think the St. John the Divine rumor started because that is where Celebration of his Life (the service) was held.

Once again, THANK YOU from the whole family for keeping Richard alive in the hearts and minds of all!

Amanda:flirt:

P.S. Beaker's Breakers is the name of our house on the Cape!

...Wow a real family connection. I can't believe I'm the first to post about this. That's...that's amazing. Did you ever meet him?

Thank you so much for clearing up about the grave site. That's so wonderful, being cremated over peonies. Thank you so much for sharing with us, Amanda. Keep us posted, if you can.

And I'm sure someone would like to ask about the teeth question, so I'll go ahead and get it out there. Do you know where the gap went, if I may ask without sounding obsessed?

Oh...my....t-thank you.

Thank you for coming and speaking with us, Amanda. I...oh wow. I'm speechless! I don't know what to say.

Wait, I do know what to say! Thank you! I send Jane my best wishes, as well as the rest of the Hunt family. I've always felt drawn to Richard, and his works, and I've always considered Scooter my favorite muppet, with Beaker my second favorite.

If it's possible...may I ask you a single question, which has been on our mind's for...quite sometime now..?

What's is Richard's middle name!?

We've been brainstorming about it, but we can't find out! We're all so curious about it!

Again, thank you, Amanda. *hugs her tightly* Thanks.

Wow, it's nice to meet you, Amanda! As you can see, we're all quite fond of your uncle around here (some of us more than others; Sara, I'm looking in your direction...).
I kind of figured Richard had been cremated, since St. John the Divine, I learned, has no cemetery, only a columbarium.

I'd honestly have to say that your uncle was my favorite of the main Muppeteers; I've loved his characters, especially Scooter, since I was a young girl.
Also, in honor of Richard's birthday on the 16th, we set up a special thread in the Henson People forum.

Once again, nice to meet you, and do swing by again!

So we're up too:

Where did the gap go?

and

What is his middle name?

Yeah...we're not fanatics. We're just insane.

It's great to meet you, Amanda. And it's great to have you here! How awesome to be related to such a great, talented, and wonderful guy. I agree... thank you for clearing that up about Richard's grave site. That is very interesting. I look forward to chatting with, and hearing from you more.

Yuck, re read a few things, of course you met him. Ignore that past question. I'd edit it, but there's been so many posts here (duh, I mean, you're like the only information we have), that you pro'ly wouldn't notice it.

Heh, we're all posting at the same time. See, Amanda? See what you've gotten yourself into?
