Yeah Skeeter should have been a Muppet

Gillis Fraggle is another character I need to see, but thankfully he's in the Season Two DVD. I have heard a sound clip of the "Whoopee Cantata" he conducts to welcome home Uncle Matt. He's sounds like an odd mixture of Don Music and Janice!
Aww, I'm flattered. No, wait; you're talking about Skeeter from Muppet Babies. Never mind...

Yeah, Gillis is awesome. I believe it was Dave aka Gorgon Heap who referred to him once as the Rock's version of Don Music...except Gillis never bangs his head against anything if he gets a song wrong.

My personal belief is that Gillis actually used to be a Minstrel, and after the first visit the Minstrels paid to Fraggle Rock he decided to stay behind and that's how he became the Rock's Maestro. Of course, that's the same part of me that believes Gillis is Tosh's uncle, so...

Ok, so I'm a little late here... but yay on surpassing 1000 posts!!!!! This is so great. Fabulous sorbet too, Erin. This is, of course, the best party ever in here!

Oh ok. Thank you, heralde, for reminding me where the Terry's Storyteller response was! I was really trying to remember where that was.

I can't wait to see Gillis Fraggle. I never have before. That's ok, MBM, I really don't know much about Fraggle Rock either. I just looked up a few different things because I got so curious about it, and it was driving me nuts. The first season is all I've ever seen before, though.

I just choked on my powerbar, Erin...."Scooter trying to do a woman's voice" Oh, my gosh....

Sorbet sounds wonderful!
Quick! (runs over and does the Heimlich maneuver) Are you okay now, Sara? It won't do to have the RHLC's head honcho get a chunk of powerbar (and Lord only knows what they're putting in those these days) wedged in her windpipe.

Let's see, Gillis Fraggle..."That was very good, but next time let's do it in tune, okay?" Great line.
Richard seems to have played a number of musically-inclined Muppets during his career; there's been...let's see...Scooter, Janice, Gillis, Don Music, Placido Flamingo, the lead singer of the Beetles, Rockin' Richard...and so on and so forth.

(opens up vat of sorbet and scoops some out into a cup) My family's already made a sizeable dent in this stuff. (calls over her shoulder) Richard? Richard, sweetie, would you like some? And tell Steve he can have some too...and so can Jim and the others.

It's true. Richard has had a lot of normal characters who have been musically-inclined, not to mention a bunch of other random whatnot characters who happened to have had a song to sing. And of course, they always sound perfect.

I'm okay! *laughs a lot* I was eating a crispy powerbar, and I read that. And suddenly this idea came into my head.....Scooter in drag.

And dosn't look a THING like Skeeter either! He looks like himself in drag, and that's what caused me to nearly choke on it. Haven't gotten around to actually re-watching that episode, but I will laugh myself off the bed!

Because of that image circularing around my head.

.....At least it's better then....UGH....AVMMC's kermit-less Scooter. BLEGH. Geez, almost fell off the bed in horror when I saw that. X_X

Glad you're feeling better Sara.

Heh, I love that little kermit-less Scooter. He was so evil, and you could tell Richard would have loved that.

Don't know how long this will be on youtube, but someone posted a clip from the Of Muppets and Men documentary, of Richard and the other performers doing a pig sketch (He's the one in the back at the end, standing apart from the others saying "Hey, give me more!").

P.S. Hmm, yeah conflicted on cage dancing Scooter from AVMMC

Oh my gosh, Scooter in drag. Now, there's an image for ya! I do have to say that I watched "The Terrible Tunnel" last night while thinking about all us crazies here.

Thanks for the link, heralde! That was very cool to see.
