I love Thanksgiving! Possibly my favorite holiday.
And with Thanksgiving comes looking at weird Macy's Parade performances of years past. Can't wait to see what weirdness I discover this time.

What else is new with Thanksgiving getting the shorter end of the stick every year. It's the Middle child of the Holidays. It gets forgotten and shoved the side but I too enjoy Thanksgiving and don't care about what the Stores or Media does with putting Christmas out before Halloween or Thanksgiving. To me it brings people together. That's what I LOVE about Thanksgiving, oh and the Ham, Gravy, Mash Potatos, Green Beans, Rolls and my all time favorite Mac and Cheese.

Yes, Thanksgiving seems to be the red-headed stepchild to Halloween and Christmas.
But having family is important.Over the past decade, I helped out a few times at a homeless shelter serving dinner.
It's a humbling experience serving people who have nothing.some have no home, no family, no money, no job, no nothing.
It's too easy to forget how much we have. If you have a roof over your head, clothes on your back, and food in your mouth, you're better off than a lot of people.
Whatever else goes on in the world, with Trump or Taylor Swift is all small talk.

I’ll be honest, I much prefer Thanksgiving over Christmas. Christmas nowadays, the older I get, is just like “Eh” to me. I’ve pretty much become a Scrooge.

I love the actual day of Christmas, but shopping for people is the worst.

But yea, my family and I went downtown to feed/donate clothes to the homeless last year for Thanksgiving! Very rewarding experience. Hope I get to do it again this year.

Thanksgiving and Christmas are one and the same to me. The older you get, the more you appreciate family. I'm lucky enough to have a big family(lot of eating going on). But Thanksgiving is more than just turkey and football. Christmas is more than just presents. When I realize how much I have (not so much material possessions, but loving people in my life)the holidays make me feel like I got everything I need, and more than I could ever want.
