JD Hansel: I don't know the last time you checked the Billboard Top 40, but I don't wanna see the Muppets with the hot artists today.
Steve Swanson: You know what? I'm here with you. Neither do I, but there's a lot of people who would.
JD: FYI, here's what's on the top of the charts at the moment. Number one, Love Yourself by Justin Bieber. Number 2, a song I never heard of Stressed Out by Twenty One Pilots, I've heard of them.
Steve: Twenty One Pilots are awful.
JD: In the Night by the Weaknd. Sorry by Justin Bieber, I think I heard that one and I despise it. Roses by the Chainsmokers.
Steve: Actually, Twenty One Pilots would be a good match for the Muppets. They're still awful in my opinion, but they'd be a good match for them. And they're from Columbus, Ohio, so I gotta give them a little love there.
JD: My House by Flo Rida, Hide Away by Daya. I don't know who that is.
Steve: You have Adele. She's in there somewhere.
JD: Not in the top 10. Here by Alessia Cara. Never heard of her or the song. Cake by the Ocean, never heard of it, by DNCE, never heard of them.
Steve: Here's the flaw in what you're doing. You're reading what's on the top of the charts today. "Today", in quotes, is very fleeting. Being the hit single today doesn't mean you have lasting star power and/or even talent. But if you take someone like Adele who does have lasting star power, is actually talented, and put her with the Muppets, you saw this with Josh Groban, it works.
JD: In the number 10 spot, we got Same Old Love by Selena Gomez and we know her previous interactions with the Muppets have been just perfect.
Steve: Let's not even think about that.
