Jarrod Fairclough: IDK if you remember this, Joe, but when we saw this episode, because this and the next episode aired back to back, and that happened during the credits, but when we saw it, we saw it as two different episodes, because Disney gave us screeners. And it included that little bit with Janice curled up on the hospital bed. So I wrote in my article, in my review, "the bit where she's curled up at the end and does her little Woah! noise was really funny." And people were commenting going "What? What bit? I didn't see that happen." And I did one of MuppetHub's podcasts on that episode and them all going "What are you talking about?"
Joe Hennes: Wow, you must have felt like you were a crazy person!
Jarrod: I ended up getting my phone out and recording it and sending it to a bunch of people, cause I'm like "Did you guys not see this?" Not realizing that they'd been aired back-to-back. So that bit didn't see the light of day until people bought on iTunes, or it was on Disney+.
Joe: Unless they reran these episodes at some point, and they weren't back-to-back, IDK. But what's funny is I read about that fact on Muppet Wiki, that this was not in the original broadcast version, and as I was watching the episode, I'm like "Well it's familiar, but I don't remember it verbatim", so it was just one of those moments of like "Well I guess I didn't see it, but it feels familiar." But you're right, I watched this episode with the screener that we got, so I would've seen that scene 5 years ago. Weird.

Jarrod Fairclough: So one thing this show gave us, which I will forever be grateful for, was drunk and inebriated Muppets. You've got Pepe last episode, super boozed, saying he's gonna become a priest cause it's just a different kind of turtleneck, Fozzie back in episode 3, where he's been shot by the dart, and he's trying to look for his hat that's on his head. And he's looking at binoculars, "Oh, maybe we can use these to find my hat." There's one point where he calls Kermit bro-ther, and you can actually hear Steve Whitmire laugh. And here you got Piggy high on morphine. And I was like "I just want more of this please." Just more inebriated, drunk, stoned out of their mind Muppets, because every time it happened on that show, it made me laugh.
Joe Hennes: I hear you, I don't completely disagree, I am personally not a big fan of inebriated Muppets. I feel like, the Muppets don't do sex jokes, they rarely do drug jokes. That to me is a very easy going blue type of thing that I feel like the Muppets are above. And it's like "What would happen if a Muppet got drunk? I think it would be a little something like this." IDK, it just doesn't do it for me. That said, I have to admit sometimes, this is a good example where Piggy is just acting silly, and I like silly even if it's coming from a drug, and so that's kinda okay. But more or less as a rule, I don't care for it.
Jarrod: No? What about "I'm painting my face and it feels amazing, Captain Unicorn"?
Joe: See, that's the thing, she could literally just say any random word, and you're gonna be like "Piggy's drugged, lull." I didn't even write that line down because I didn't think it was funny.
Jarrod: Alright, well, fair enough.
Joe: But Piggy getting kinda dizzy and stoned on live TV saying "Whee" and then Scooter having that kinda reaction, like that cadence worked for me. But I've never been one to really love the idea of "Put a bunch of random words together and it's a joke." Sometimes it works, I'm not gonna say never, but most of the time, it's not funny, it's random. And that line in particular was like, "That's not funny to me."
