By the way, I am just explaining what I would like to see in the book. I know they didn't promise any characters before 1970, and I know they didn't say it had everyone in it (a.k.a. complete) either. Still, it should be a fun book - here's hoping it's great!

I know they didn't promise any characters before 1970, and I know they didn't say it had everyone in it (a.k.a. complete) either.

Well, Kermit and Rowlf were around before 1970. I doubt they'll be absent (and Kermit is on the cover).

Has anyone else noticed that there are two similar listings on Amazon.com regarding this book? There's this- http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1409345769/muppetcentral
which I believe is the book we've all been talking about here.
But there's also this-
http://www.amazon.com/Muppets-Character-Encyclopedia-DK/dp/1465417486/ref=pd_sim_b_6

It looks like the same book- it's from the same publisher- but there are different ISBNs. I've gathered that the first one is geared more towards the adult fan audience, but the second one seems to be aimed at children. The description specifically mentions that the book will cover characters from the "Muppets: Most Wanted" movie. (Not that it looks like there will be a ton of new Muppets introduced outside of Constantine- but you never know.)
Anyway- I just thought I'd point it out in case anyone hadn't seen it yet.:search::smile:

If there are two different versions, I'll get the one for adults over the one that's geared more for kids. I wonder if anybody would get both versions. But I guess that's more of a rumor or something right now.

I can't say for sure- Amazon may just have an incorrect listing up for the book- this kind of thing happens with them sometimes...

It's obviously the same book. It's just been double listed. It happens. I'm certain it will be corrected once we get closer to the release date.
