You're absolutely right Stan!
Ch. 14
"Darn darn darn! I hate that amphiban!"Piggy said tearing up a photo of Kermit. Piggy frowned. She would have abandoned her siblings if Kermit asked, why couldnt't he do the same. The bear and the wizard kid were annoying and immature. She hated them all, or did she?
"Oh no. I've grown accustomed to his face!"
Drat! Drat! Drat Drat!
I've grown accustomed to his face.
He almost makes the day begin.
I've grown accustomed to the tune that
He whistles night and noon.
His smiles, his frowns,
Her ups, her downs
Are second nature to me now;
Like breathing out and breathing in.
I was serenely independent and content before we met;
Surely I could always be that way again-
And yet
I've grown accustomed to his look;
Accustomed to his voice;
Accustomed to his face.
[Spoken]"Stay a Muppet." What an infantile idea. What a heartless,
wicked, brainless thing to do. But she'll regret, she'll
regret it. It's doomed before he even takes the vow.
[Sung]
I can see her now, Mr. Kermit Muppet
In a wretched little flat above a store.
I can see him now, not a penny in the till,
And a bill collector beating at the door
He'll try to teach the things I taught him,
And end up selling flowers instead.
Begging for his bread and water,
While his siblings have theirbreakfast in bed.
In a year, or so, when he's prematurely grey,
And the blossom in his cheekhas turned to chalk.
He'll come home, and lo, they'llhave upped and run away
With a social-climbing heiress from New York.
Poor Kermit how simply frightful!
How humiliating! How delightful!
How poignant it'll be on that inevitable night
When he hammers on my door in tears and rags.
Miserable and lonely, repentant and contrite.
Will I take him in or hurl him to the walls?
Give himkindness or the treatment he deserves?
Will I take him back or throw the baggage out?
But I'm a most forgiving pig
The sort who never could, ever would,
Take a position and staunchly never budge.
A most forgiving pig
But I shall never take him back
If he were even crawling on his knees
Let him promise to atone
Let him shiver, Let him moan!
I'll slam the door and let the frog freeze!
[Spoken]
"Stay with siblings!"Ha!
[Sung]
But I'm so used to hear him say
Good moring every day.
His joys his woes
His Highs, his lows
are second nature to me now'
Like breathing out and breathing in
I'm very grateful he's a man
and So easy to forget;
Rather like a habit
One can always break
And yet
I've grown accustomed to the trace
of something in the air'
accustomed to his face.
"That's it! I'm calling Kermie! He'll forget Dominic and Fozzie...for me!"
(Sng used-I've Grown Accustomed To Her face with some lyrics change from My Fair Lady)
