Don't forget that even though we know Gonzo's an alien, we don't know what KIND of an alien, so he's still technically a "whatever."

That is really true. He's just a plain old alien, and we still don't know what. So yeah, he's still techinally a whatever.

Yeah, I think J.P. died some time between TMS and IAVMMCM.
Wonder why it wasn't left to Scooter.

Maybe Scooter wasn't his uncle's fave nephew after all... lol

Maybe Scooter does own it, but Kermit is in charge of it because Scoot's not old enough to run the theater yet.

Maybe JP left the theater to Kermit because he liked what they were doing with it and he thought Scooter might change it. Also in the deleted scene Kermit says the theater was in dept. Maybe JP sold the theater to the Bittermens cause he afford to pay the depts, which would explain why they have to pay them rent. Maybe JP isn't dead because that comment was in a deleted scene.

I always felt that Fozzie had a hand in the scripts. Some of the puns in the show are unBEARable. AHHH! [I apologize for that. I don't know what came over me.]

Plus J.P. probably left Kermit the theater in his will, because he didn't care about it.
