Mother's Mother, er, what on earth is a nice girl liek you doing out of your attic at this time of the night?

*Waking up the morning of Thanksgiving...

Well, I think the girls liked the story. Read them from that one about the land on the other side of the rainbow, or inside it at least.

Will be working on finishing the dishes for the meal, and maybe watching snipets of the parade. It'll be a den of activity here, and we hope to see the entire clan for T-Day lunch at 3:00 PM.

*sitting in the kitchen with a cup of tea, keeping a warey eye on Grandma who had been sat in a comfy chair in the evening*

OK... The stuffing's done and delicious... It's got almonds and chestnuts, and celery and onions, and our special ingredients.
The turkey's roasting, and the baby carrots are on the stove.

Think I'll take a quick shower and get a change of clothes before going back to work. Oh, Izzy, here's a glass of water. Thought you might need something to drink.
And the parade's starting soon, will be watching snipets of it throughout the rest of the preparations.

OK... Where are we?
Turkey's still roasting in its juices...
Mashed potatoes, check though the gravy's cooking on the stove.
Baby carrots, check.
Asparagus, check.

Cranberry sauce and pumpkin muffins, check.
Melted butter and corn-on-the cob, check.

Lauraly said she'd bring the sweet potatoes, and Gray will be bringing her three bean salad.
Just need to get some decorations ready, and finish all the cooking.

I wonder if we should wear coustums for dinner at the Coles...I'd ask mother...hm...Someone Mother-ish may do...

Jack: Ah, I love Thanksgiving. The one day of the year that I can gorge myself on food and the women won't care because it's perfectly normal on Thanksgiving. And then when I'm done eating I get to sit on the couch and sleep. Ah, what a great holiday...

*sees Grandma on couch* Grandma!! You're back! Um...Remember that time where I er...Hit on you? Well er...I was under a spell...Actually a heavy dosage of love potion...er...Don't kill me!! *cowers*
