They got eaten by a pair of hungry cages who suddenly appeared. Yes, you see these cages were the same ones they had been originally placed in. These cages were set to follow their prisoners wherever they went should they get free before being appropriately dealt with. These cages would capture their prey time and time again, transporting their escapees back to the person who'd serve as ultimate judge... In this case, Christy B. Moppet.
And that's why it's completely unnecessary for me to say a thing dear nephew. Your mom will deal out your proper punishement. Just grin and bear it and it'll be over with quicker than you think. Keep escaping and you risk the cages devouring you each and every time.

What's that? Oh, I got those cages from my tours through the forests of Wonderland and Looking Glass Land.

I was actually trying too figure out a way to get some bolt cutters. Let's see here... How about knocking over our cages and rolling them to where we want to go, you know, like one of those plastic hamster excercise balls?

Oh... That silly nephew of mine. And I thought his mom taught him something when he was little on that ship of theirs.
Seems he doesn't realize that those cages haven't been broken, they're still ferrets... Still trapped inside.
And they'll go straight back to Christy every time. Rully wished she'd come in and just turn him back and deal out his proper punishment already... Getting to be a bother to keep checking in on him like this... But that's how these cages operate...
