Wow, it looks like you guys had a great time. The crazy thing is that my brother-in-law and I were planning a trip to San Fran for April, but it just fell through. Someday...

Is there any videos up yet?
Mule on the Street: Schulz Week will be up before too long, and is one of 3 different episodes that I have to complete. It is a very VERY special show, and probably the first time that I was nervous making anything with Muley! I haven't been to view the video footage yet. This episode will be co-hosted by me as Muley ended up not arriving until a day later than I.

The other two episodes are:
MOTS: Papa Roy's 100th Birthday
MOTS: Zombie Walk

I really have a lot going on, so I hope to get on these SOON.

Kev & Muley - Metropolis, IL June 12 - 15, 2008

A bit more in-depth information can be found here:
http://muley.freeforums.org/2008-superman-celebration-metropolis-il-t38.html

June 12 - 15, 2008, Muley and I will be attending the Superman Celebration in Metropolis, IL, along with the members of the Mid-South Cartoonists Association. We are over the comics programming and it is a lot of fun. Friday, before the kids' costume contest, there is even a short Muley play "SuperMule vs. The Party Pooper," based on a short comic story I wrote.

All of this to say that, if you are around Metropolis, IL, and can come visit, please do! There are still too many MC'ers I've not met yet, and need to.

Superman Celebration was a hit! 2008 was quite successful.

Our group (The Mid-South Cartoonists Association) was moved down from the community center to 715 Market Street with the hospitality of Four Rivers Church this year. Our friend Tim Brown (of Inked Monkey Productions) said he heard vendors and performers saying this was their most profitable year ever, probably due to the traffic we brought down with us.

We had many other artists and writers with us, and Mr. and Mrs. Murphy Anderson were wonderful people! I feel very blessed to have met them this year, as were all the others who attended.

In the meantime, here is a link to see many of us and our friends on the CBS news:

What'd we do?
Inked Monkey Productions hosted a movie room, showing fan films, movies, and interviews starring your favorite MSCA characters!

Muley was found in a puppet show "SuperMule vs. the Party Pooper," immediately followed by hosting the kids' costume contest (during a DELUGE of rain, thunder, and lightning). Saturday he sang Five for Fighting's "Superman" over a greatly (Inked Monkey Prod.) edited tribute to Christopher Reeve, then co-hosted the door prizes and give aways with Tim Brown and Lin Workman.

MAW Productions had a panel discussion about Jetta: Tales of the Toshigawa. This also included discussions of Muley and Andrew Chandler mentioned his books, Moth and Ethan, and a top secret project he's working on. Stay 'tooned!

Dave Beaty and Micah Stewart, Lin's partners in crime from Team Bushi Tales, were in town this weekend as well, and they had a great panel about peanut butter sandwiches. Just kidding, it was about Bushi Tales, of course!

On Sunday, the costume contest was judged by Dave Beaty, Lin Workman, and Murphy Anderson--that was cool! Following that, the Andersons suited up in their Superman suits to help break the world record of most Superman costumes worn in one place for Guiness World Records, and instead of the 100 needed, there were 120+ folks there!

It was a great year, and we're definitly looking forward to next year!
So, who's goin'?

I know, Alan Rickman's closet is nowhere near Metropolis! I'll have a blueberry muffin in honor of the thought, though.

Hey, gang,

And now: You've heard for years about the elusive and wonderful Papa Roy, but you can finally see and hear him!

Mule on the Street: Papa Roy's 100th Birthday Party
http://www.veoh.com/videos/v14335848xtQKxeHa

Yeah, it happened in October 2007 and it's about 9 months late getting it on the air, but I'm a busy guy! In this episode, Muley hosts questions of Papa Roy's 7 children and plays some mean tricks on Kevin. Lots of fun and insight into the world from which both Kevin and Muley were raised.

Check it out and let me know your thoughts.

He looks good for 100! That's a compliment depending of how you choose to look at it, heh! But it was supposed to be, anyway.
