That is weird. I always thought it was pretty hilarious how angry that show made adults, but I don't get the impression that most kids really like the show anymore.
It's on Universal Kids now, and has apparently been there since sometime this month.

I loved Barney when I was a toddler, but as I got older, I started to hate him.

And also, on a related note, I remember kids at my elmentary school (mostly the boys) loved to sing anti-Barney rhymes. Here's an example of one:
"I hate you
You hate me
Let's team up and kill Barney!
With a shotgun, BANG BANG!
Barney on the floor
No more purple dinosaur!"

Yeah around about 2000-2007-ish edgy kids would sing a lot of anti-Barney stuff, and make anti-Barney videos. In hindsight, some of them probably actually hated the show, but I did know at least one guy who bashed the show around his friends but would still watch it in private.
