Now that videos can use custom thumbnails, it's not at all strange to see videos with the exact same thumbnail - especially if they're those sneaky uploads of full movies that you click on and say, "Sorry, YouTube will not allow us to upload the full video, please click the unsafe and phishy-looking link in the description below to watch."
I know it's common - it was just a weird coincidence to see two videos with the same thumbnail listed right next to each other, especially when their view counts are so close.

And yeah, those fake movie uploads are so annoying and cheap. There should be a system for YouTube so that it automatically detects those things and ban channels that do that. Then you've got the channels that comment on official film clips spamming links to movies.

The only way you can watch movies on YouTube now is paying for them. And that's not worth it either.
If you're going to pay to see a movie, just go ahead and get it on DVD or support a better service like Netflix or Amazon. It's stupid that YT makes you pay for movies - it's YOUtube where YOU upload stuff. Youtube shouldn't be a streaming service, it should be a place where the general public uploads original content.

Why are people so obsessed with Sesame Street sponsors and listings of Muppet performers?
