As suggested by @cjd874

I'll just start off by saying if there's ever been an underrated movie that definitely needs more love, it's the 1980 dramedy FATSO, starring Dom DeLuise in the only movie that Anne Bancroft ever wrote and direct (so, not surprisingly, you can kind of sense Mel Brooks's fingerprints on this thing). Talk about food porn throughout.

Got into some pretty intense discussions about hot dogs in the "What Made You Smile Today?" thread, but does anyone here like corn dogs?

One of the most amazing food-porn meals I've ever had was at HooDoo Brown BBQ in Ridgefield, CT. My entire family feasted on smoked beef brisket, pulled pork sandwiches, baby back ribs, and jalapeno cheese sausages! Not only was the food delicious, but it was absolutely Instagram-worthy. I took pictures on my phone, but it died over the summer so no photo evidence of our epic meal exists. :frown:

When it comes to the basic meats, pork is kind of my least favorite. Granted, I love BBQ ribs, and I don't mind pork chops every now and then, but generally speaking, pork isn't a meat I would go out of my way to eat (and, honestly, even though I don't mind bacon, I really think it's overrated). I much prefer beef and poultry, but I find as I've gotten older, beef/red meat is something I have to consume in moderation anymore, because it tends to not be kind to my digestive system . . . I remember one time a while back I ate a Whopper, and I swear, that thing sat in the bottom of my stomach for days - I could even still taste it in the back of my throat!

That being said, chicken is something I hardly ever get tired of, because of all of the many different ways of preparing it: fried, roasted, smoked, stuffed, casseroles, pastas, sandwiches, et al.

Okay I actually forgot these commercials existed:

Ngl tho, eggo is a once in awhile craving for me. And I just like getting chocolate chip waffles.

Eggo's kind of blah . . . if you're lucky enough to live in the south (cough-cough), there's a regional chain of little small town diners called Waffle House, and as you can imagine, their specialty is waffles . . . now, if you want good waffles, then bam, there you go.

And yes, they do have toppings you can request for a few extra cents, including chocolate chips, pecans, blueberries, or . . . curiously, peanut butter.

While we're on the subject of waffles, I know a lot of people say that the pizza Max and P.J. were eating in A GOOFY MOVIE is perhaps the quintessential food porn in animation . . . and I'll agree, that pizza looked pretty dang delicious for animation, but those homemade waffles in ALL DOGS GO TO HEAVEN have to come in a really close second!
