I'm back baby!
Chapter 6
That night, Matt was sleeping in the hammock that Gobo made for him, and was drifted off into his dreams. But in this paticular dream, a memory of his resurfaced that he had forgotten years ago.
It was a few hours after his great uncle Gobo's funeral. Every fraggle was in attendence, and was grieving over the loss. One by one, the fraggles left the gravesite, to the great hall to reflect on their memories of his uncle. When young Matt was the only one left, he placed a flower on his uncle's grave, and pulled out a hanky.
"Goodbye uncle Gobo. You taught me so many things, but will never forget you."
He walked away, but was secretly followed by someone.
In his private cave, Matt was sitting on his uncle's bed, sobbing uncontrollibly. He looked around the cave, and everything reminded him of his uncle.
"I feel so alone." He blew his nose and put his hands in his face.
Just then, someone sat down next to him and put her arms around him. He looked at who it was, and sure enough, it was Storyteller fraggle.
"You're not alone. I'll be here with you." She put his head on her shoulder.
"Thank you." he whispered gently. He began crying again, making Storyteller hold him tighter, trying to squeeze out his troubles.
The two sat there for the longest time, with Matt repeating "Thank you."
Matt woke up with a start. He had a revelation.
"She was the only friend I had in the whole world. And I abandoned her when I started to explore outer space. Well, I'll fix all of that."
The next day, Matt was working for Storyteller again, but was visibly nervous.
"What's wrong Matt?" Storyteller asked. "You haven't been like yourself today."
"Well, I just....I was just reflecting."
"Reflecting?"
"Yes, I was reflecting. I was remembering my uncle's funeral."
"Oh. I remember that too."
"And I also remember that you comforted me when I needed it the most, and were my only friend. And I am grateful for that."
"Well....you're welcome."
"But, I do remember also when I went into outer space for the first time, leaving Fraggle Rock behind,.....including you."
Storyteller looked at the floor. "Yeah....I..."
"But I have decided to make that up to you. Because, I want to ask you a question."
Storyteller started to shake with excitement. "Yes Matt?"
Matt got down on one knee, and pulled out a moss ring.
"Will you marry me?"
Storyteller screamed with delight. She grabbed Matt and kissed him. Matt was willing to return the kiss.
"Oh, yes! Yes I will!"
With that, Matt kissed her and held her in his arms.
Outside, a figure with pink hair was watching, shocked.
"Uncle Matt.....getting married?"
